94 points Decanter: "Honeyed pear and cashew notes, with a touch of honeysuckle in the background. Full-bodied, very rich and round, but dry and nutty in the mouth. The wine is matured in 100% new oak barriques, but the Roussanne takes to it well . The oak influence is clear but not overt. Some fine tannin on the finish contributes to the texture and long length. Powerful, and very fine indeed. 100% Roussanne. Drinking Window 2018-2028. Alcohol 15%. (Oct 2017)"
94 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "Light green-tinged yellow. Aromas of fresh tropical and pit fruits are complemented by suave floral and mineral qualities that build steadily as the wine stretches out. Concentrated yet energetic in character, offering juicy nectarine, pineapple and Meyer lemon flavors that tighten up and take on a suave floral nuance with air. Shows emphatic mineral thrust and a touch of honeysuckle on a strikingly long, smooth, smoke-tinged finish that echoes the pit fruit note. Drink: 2022-2029. (Oct 2018)"
93 points Wine Spectator: "[$85 list] A ripe, lush, tropical style, with mango and papaya notes gliding through, inlaid liberally with warm butter and piecrust accents. Shows flashes of mirabelle plum and verbena for contrast on the finish. A hedonist's delight. Drink now through 2019. 28 cases imported. (6/15/18)"
