93+ points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Riesling Neuberg comes from the Bollenberg's very warm, east-facing part, which is a potential premier cru. The recent release opens with more of a mineral rather than fruity nose, which indicates the beginning of maturity, but it still has perfectly ripe marille aromas to show. Pure, intense and very mineral on the palate, this is a straight, concentrated and very expressive Riesling that deserves all our patience. Herbal (thyme) aromas populate the tight and salty-mineral finish that indicates a long-distance runner. This is far too young to be enjoyed today. But if you can't avoid it, let it breathe! 13% alcohol. Tasted in May 2020. Drink: 2024-2030. (Oct 2020)"
