92 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "My favorite of the four soils was the 2015 Malbec Finca la Escuela la Piedra, from the stonier and chalkier soils in the vineyard. There is more subtleness and complexity in the nose here, a mixture of violets, wild berries and wet chalk, quite complex and elegant. The tannins are grainier and chalkier, this is austere and subtle, quite elegant. Some 1,500 bottles were filled in June 2016. Drink: 2016-2020. (Dec 2016)"

90 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "($35 list; 13.9% alcohol; from rocky limestone soil): Good full red. Complex nose melds aromas of blackberry, currant, licorice, dried herbs and graphite minerality. Not hugely fat or fleshy but concentrated and shapely, with its element of saline minerality contributing energy and thrust. Finishes firmly tannic but not dry. This nicely delineated wine should expand in bottle with a bit of cellar time. Drink: 2018-2023. (Jul 2018)"
