El Nacimiento (The Birthplace) takes its name for the fact that there is a spring coming out of the ground and is the place where the water gives birth to Agua Nueva river. It is the largest ranch of Carlos Camarena, our Master Distiller. This ranch has the characteristic rich red soil of the highlands of Jalisco, it is in the center of the Golden Triangle of Agave with an average elevation of 2,075 meters above sea level. At the moment of harvest the agave was fully mature and with 29-30% sugar content.
