97 points James Suckling: "Very subtle yet out-of-this-world aromas of dark fruit, orange peel, sandalwood and dried flowers. Full-bodied, yet with a fine-grained texture and polished, focused tannins that give this intensity and poise. Seductive finish that impresses both texturally and in terms of flavor. Will age beautifully. Co-vinification of 65% tempranillo, 20% grenache, 2.5% graciano, 1% petit bouschet, with 1.1% other red varieties, plus 10% white varieties. Drink or hold. (8/27/21)"
96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "A blend of mostly Tempranillo (65%) and Garnacha (20%), yet with a mix of other red varieties, there are only 1,000 bottles of the 2017 Magico, which spent 20 months in new French oak. It's distinctly different than the more Tempranillo release from this estate and has a juicy, vibrant bouquet of more berry fruits, flowers, violets, blood orange, and incense. Incredibly complex and full-bodied, with beautiful acidity and flawless balance, it's going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and should knock your socks off over the following 15-20 years. Drink: 2022-2042. (10/21/20)"
