95 points James Suckling: "Blackberries and blueberries with cherries, too. The palate is very polished and refined with fresh, velvety tannins that provide tension and verve. It’s long and vivid with polish and beauty. Drinkable now, but give it at least three or four years to soften. Better after 2026. (2/7/22)"

95 points Virginie Boone (Wine Enthusiast): "A perennial powerhouse, this wine includes 12% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 2% petit Verdot Verdot. Tight, tannic and brawny in style, it offers dense layers of rich earth, dried herb, soy and leather, with unmistakable muscularity that wraps itself around lushy dark, baked fruit. (Aug/Sep 2022)"

94 points Joshua Greene (Wine & Spirits): "Elias Fernandez focuses this wine on two estate vineyards, one at the base of the Stags leap Escarpment, on hills surrounding the winery, plus the Borderline vineyard two miles south. His 2019 has a soil-driven scent, picking up on the rocky, volcanic scree that forms the base of these knolls. Yet, in the best tradition of Shafer cabernet, it follows a clean line, like a well-built rock wall, the wine's flavors infused with black-currant ripeness and blueberry-skin darkness that keeps smoking up in the finish (the wine has consumed a substantial amount of new oak). This has the stamina to last for a decade or two. (2022)"

93 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 3% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it delivers bright, vibrant notes of cassis, cedar, Marmite toast and black raspberries with hints of bay leaves and tilled earth in the background. The palate is full-bodied, rich and plush, featuring a lively backbone and a long finish that displays wonderful purity and precision. Drink: 2022-2038. (Nov 2021)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five is such an elegant wine. Bright, red-toned fruit and effusive aromatics lend striking brilliance to a Cabernet that is gracious and light on its feet. The 2019 stands out for its freshness and red fruit profile. It is beautifully done. One Point Five remains one of Napa Valley's little hidden gems; a wine that is seldom talked about in a discussion of the very top bottlings, but a Cabernet that never disappoints. Drink: 2024-2034. (Jan 2022)"

91 points James Molesworth (Wine Spectator): "Ripe and open, with a friendly gush of raspberry, plum and cherry compote flavors wrapped loosely with a red licorice hint. Shows a savory accent that keeps the finish honest. Drink now through 2029. 9,000 cases made. (5/31/22)"
