92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Schiefergestein Feinherb settled in with 13.5 grams per liter of residual sugar, so this is still a pretty dry wine. It is also excellent on both the nose and palate, offering up a refined bouquet of green orange, sweet grapefruit, lemongrass, flinty slate minerality, wild yeasts and a gently smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is fullish, complex and very zesty, with lovely mid-palate depth, superb focus and grip and a very long, very classy finish. First class juice. 2019-2045. (Mar/Apr 2019)"
92 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "This brings a flinty and reductive edge with aromas of fresh mint, herbs, flowers and white peaches. The palate has a very succulent and sleek feel with bright, vibrant and elegant, spiced yellow peaches and white strawberries and a salty twist to close. Drink now. (9/18/19)"
91 points David Schildknecht (Vinous): "Leading with the reductive combination of struck flint, crushed stone and zesty lime so familiar from Schäfer-Fröhlich Rieslings in general, this also displays penetrating scents of thyme-laced white peach and apple. A polished and surprisingly soothing yet subtly tingling midpalate gives way to a finish where the wine’s green herbal element has a cooling effect, while fruit comes lusciously to the fore. Though lacking quite the energy, interactive complexity, clarity or penetration of its dry counterpart, this bottling, sourced entirely from the Felseneck, is quite irresistible and clearly capable of positive evolution. Drink: 2020-2026. (Jun 2020)"
