96 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 05 18. The 2017er Graacher Domprobst Spätlese AP 05 displays a magnificent and beautifully expressive nose of yellow peach, smoke, aniseed herbs, almond, raspberry and much more. The wine shines through its gorgeous depth and intensity on the palate. A racy but juicy and ripe acidity makes for a stunningly focused, pure and smoky feel in the long finish. The after-taste is tight and incredibly pure. This mindboggling Spätlese in the making only needs a decade to show its full potential! 2027-2057. (Jun 2018)"

95+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The AP #5 Spätlese from the Domprobst vineyard is another great wine in the making. The acidity here is a tad higher than in the Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese, coming in at 11.9 grams per liter, which is perfectly balanced with seventy-five grams per liter of residual sugar. The acids here are so beautifully ripe and the sense of extract in the wine so evident that the overall impression is of complete seamlessness on the palate and a very classic profile. The bouquet delivers scents of apple, tangerine, salty slate minerality, floral tones, bee pollen and a lovely topnote of citrus zest. On the palate the wine is pure, medium-full and utterly refined, with bright acids, a juicy core and superb backend mineral drive on the very long and dancing finish. This is an absolute charmer for a young Domprobst Spätlese, which can often produce wines that are a bit more bound up in their structure than utterly tempting out of the blocks, but this is not the case with the AP #5 in the 2017 vintage. Stellar juice. 2023-2075. (May/Jun 2018)"

95 points Stephan Reinhadt (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese (AP #5) is deep and flinty on the complex, intense and concentrated nose. Lush and round on the sensual palate, this is a fleshy but precise and mineral Spätlese with great elegance, mineral tension and serious grip. The finish is long, piquant and salty—in any case, highly stimulating. Great aging potential. Tasted in March 2019. Drink: 2027-2060. (Jun 2019)"

94 points David Schildknecht (Vinous): "Concentrated pear, quince, apple and Persian melon feature on an effusive nose and a luscious, glossy palate, to which zesty and brightly juicy Meyer lemon lends tongue-tingling, stimulating animation. High-toned floral and green herbal notes waft across the scene. The finish suggests a shimmering interchange arising from a flood of fruit colliding with a comet’s tail of mineral matter. In more prosaic terms, that finish delivers vibrancy, complexity and consummate refreshment. Drink: 2020-2042. (Apr 2020)"
