96 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "How could another Kabinett be better than this wine and still retain the essential lightness of the category? Still rather closed, but there is massive structure present. The lemon and mineral freshness drives the very long, complete finish. Better from 2019, but try to wait longer as this has enormous aging potential. (12/28/18)"

95 points Mosel Fine Wines: " AP: 03 18. The 2017er Graacher Domprobst Kabinett immediately catches one’s attention through stunningly refined notes of smoke which give way to herbs, yellow peach, apricot blossom, tangerine, dried flowers and a hint of almond as the wine unfolds in the glass. It proves intense and almost powerful (despite the low level of alcohol) on the palate yet what sets this wine in a league of its own is its sheer incredibly focused, tight and yet playful structure. A stunning kick of acidity gives focus and energy to the after-taste. This is a stunning Kabinett in the making, which combines fabulous intensity and freshness. 2027-2047. (Jun 2018)"

94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2017 Himmelreich Kabinett from Christophe Schaefer is emblematic of the entire range this year, with snappy acids giving an electric charge to absolutely beautiful fruit tones and striking minerality. The bouquet offers up a lovely blend of lime, apple, a touch of wild yeasts, salty minerality and a topnote of spring flowers. On the palate the wine is pure, medium-bdoied and filigreed, with lovely intensity of flavor, a classic sense of weightlessness, bright, ripe acids and laser-like focus on the nascently complex finish. 2024-2060. (May/Jun 2018)"

93 points David Schildknecht (Vinous): "Fresh apple, quince and grapefruit are mingled on the nose with sesame oil and pleasantly bittersweet notes of crushed walnut. There is a corresponding combination of generously juicy fruit with piquant nuttiness on the palate, which conveys an impression of extract-richness combined with utmost alcoholic levity. The mouthwatering, bell-clear finish rings out with vibrancy and infectious juiciness, along with a decisive slice of slate, subtle smokiness and a reprise of that surprising sesame oil. Drink: 2020-2034. (Apr 2020)"
