91 points Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2021er Graacher Riesling Trocken is made from fruit harvested mainly in the Himmelreich. It offers a superbly spicy, fresh, and undercooled nose of spices, cardamom, anise, wet slate, dill, and mint. The wine proves superbly fresh and animating thanks to a playful and vivid acidity. The finish is straight, very long, and fully bone-dry in taste. The after-taste leaves spicy, smoky, and herbal flavors. This is a superbly racy yet complex dry Riesling. 2023-2029. (Jul 2022)"

91 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Delicate nose of fresh garden herbs, red apple and reine claude plums. Bright and forthright medium-bodied palate with plenty of energy. Very crisp finish with impressive depth for the vintage. Mostly from the Himmelreich GG site with a small amount of grapes from the Domprobst GG site. Drink or hold. Screw cap. (9/8/22)"

90+ points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Graacher Riesling trocken is coolish and pure yet also intense and provided with ripe and lush fruit intermingled with some hints of oak and a touch of banana, which fits in beautifully. Saline and crystalline on the palate, with intense, elegant and tangy fruit, this is a promising dry Riesling whose grapes predominantly come from the Himmelreich, but in this year, there are also some Domprobst kilos included. The finish is fresh and grippy and indicates crisp, just-ripe Riesling fruit. 11.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 6 in July 2022. Drink: 2028-2050. (Aug 2022)"

90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Graacher Riesling Trocken from Weingut Willi Schaefer comes in at 11.5 percent octane in this old school vintage. The wine offers up a pretty nose of green apple, tart orange, salty slate minerality, a touch of wild yeasts and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is bright, medium-full and nicely balanced, with a good core of fruit, fine mineral drive and grip, zesty acids and a long, complex and well-balanced finish. This is approachable right out of the blocks, but will also age very nicely. 2023-2050. (Mar/Apr 2023)"
