91+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Marsannay Les Ouzeloy wafts from the glass with aromas of cherries, berries, loamy soil and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, with ample reserves of fruit and powdery structuring tannin, this is a serious cuvée, built for the long haul. As readers may remember, it was with this lieu-dit that the Roty family's association with Marsannay began, as Joseph Roty was hired to work the vineyards here by Monsieur Dupont-Tisserandot, who rewarded him for his labors with a plot of vines. Drink: 2025-2045. (Jan 2021)"

91+ points Neal Martin (Vinous): "[$70 list] The 2018 Marsannay Les Ouzeloy offers a mixture of red and black fruit tinged with orange peel and potpourri scents. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, crisp acidity and a slight charcoal/chalky note underlying the dense black fruit on the structured finish. If you can, give this 4–5 years in bottle. Drink: 2024-2038. (Dec 2020)"

91 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 80+ year old vines). Gentle notes of wood toast frame very floral-suffused aromas that include violet and lilac along with mostly dark pinot fruit and warm earth suggestions. There is a lovely texture to the succulent but intense medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle salinity on the firm, very serious and mildly rustic finish. This excellent effort is very clearly built-to-age and wine that's should amply repay 10 to 12 years of cellaring. Drink: 20238+. (Jan 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(80-90 year old vines for this cuvée. A wine that’s emblematic of Domaine Roty but not a 1er – why? – well it’s just like that!) Also darkly fruited and wider in the base too. A lick more of structural tannin – so floral in this energetic, mouth-wateringly energetic but somehow contemplative middle flavour. The tannin sticks around a little in the finish but in doing-so cements the great floral and black cherry flavour more persistently in the finish. Great Marsanny… (Dec 2020)"
