92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "[$114 list] The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Champs-Chenys, from vines adjacent to Charmes-Chambertin, is well-defined on the nose, offering blackberry, bilberry, touches of meat juice and light savory notes. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and vibrant, with fine grip on the entry and an almost symmetrical poise on the graphite finish. Excellent. (Dec 2020)"
90 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from vines planted in 1934 that directly abut Charmes-Chambertin). Once again there is just enough wood and menthol nuances to reference setting off the very ripe yet fresh nose of plum, spice and warn earth. There is a slightly finer mouthfeel to the energetic if less generously proportioned flavors that exhibit good length on the mildly warm finish where a hint of mocha emerges. This complex effort will need at least some patience as it's present quite tightly wound. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2021)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(At the foot of Charmes-Chambertin). A nose that likes to play games with you – the first sniff full of perfume, the second not, then it’s back again – soft red fruits too. So juicy. Structural for sure, but not gothic and the flavour is more than a match. Such excellent wine, slowly fading with wave after wave of fresh flavour. (Dec 2020)"
