88-90 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Bourgogne Rouge comes from vines in Marsannay even through Roty told me that he could legally label it as Marsannay Village. It has a detailed bouquet for its category, quite floral, offering incense and pressed iris flower. The palate is silky-smooth on the entry with hints of blueberry; stylish and showing a little more finesse than the 2018. Surprisingly finessed. Drink: 2023-2030. (Dec 2020)"
88 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Rotys’ Bourgogne rouge bottling is produced entirely from parcels in the village of Marsannay. The 2019 version is a bit riper in personality than the Coteaux Bourguignons bottling this year and I do not have quite the same fondness for it. The nose shows a ripe blend of baked black cherries, plums, chocolate, woodsmoke, hung venison and a good base of soil. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and still nicely plush at the core, with chewy, moderate tannins and a long, complex finish. This is a bit more tight out of the blocks than the wine above, so perhaps I am judging it unfairly and it will come into its own with a bit of bottle age. But, right now, there is just a wisp of sur maturité to its profile that reminds me more of a 1990 than a 1989 Burgundy, and which I find a tad less appealing. 2025-2040. (Jan/Feb 2022)"
88 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of cherries, cassis, licorice and loamy soil introduce the 2019 Bourgogne Rouge, a medium-bodied, rich and velvety wine that's composed of declassified Marsannay. Supple and charming, it will offer a broad drinking window. Drink: 2021-2035. (Jan 2022)"
