94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Intense aromas of blackberry and cassis meet with smoked meats, strong oak and light herbs on the toasty, layered nose of this bottling, which includes 21% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Chipped wood flavors decorate the dark-fruit and roasted herb core of the palate. Alcohol 14%. (Oct 2021)"

94 points James Suckling: "A beautiful, fresh red with blackberry, blueberry and some chocolate. Pine, light toffee and coffee undertones. Dried herbs, too. Medium to full body with intensity and richness. Dusty tannins. Savory finish. Very drinkable now, but even better in 2023. (4/6/21)"

92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Ridge's 2015 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is incredibly refined and polished. In some vintages the Estate Cabernet needs time in bottle to be at its best. That is not the case with the 2015, which is sumptuous, open-knit and positively stunning in its beauty. Stylistically, the 2015 is decidedly on the riper, more sumptuous side of things for Ridge, and yet all the elements are impeccably balanced throughout. Soft tannins add to the wine's considerable appeal. Drink: 2020-2030. (Aug 2018)"

92 points Wine & Spirits: "A selection of the lots from Monte Bello that are more accessible as young wines, Ridge’s Estate Cabernet has supple black tannins in 2018, showing some earthy detail in their blueberry-skin flavors. There’s rich fatness to the texture, even as the tannins restrict the fruit from showing itself completely. This will need a few years in the cellar to open. (Dec 2021)"

92 points Connoisseurs' Guide: "Never flamboyant yet a keen and very concise offering that, after a somewhat restrained aromatic start, unfolds in the glass to reveal fresh, blackberry- and cherry-like fruit trimmed with deft touches of dried herbs, woodsy spice and the tell-tale loamy notes of classic Cabernet Sauvignon, this moderately full-bodied youngster fits the well-structured Ridge model to a tee. Still a bit tight on the palate, it is a wine destined to age famously for a decade, if not more, and, in the manner of its maker, reminds that layering, detail and real depth are in no way dependent on extravagant ripeness. (Aug 2021)"

91 points Decanter: "Lifted nose with a floral character, notes of herbs, iodine and lots of oak spice. Harmonious in the mouth, grippy and fresh. (Apr 2022)"

Producer notes: "78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot. Saturated purple color with notes of black cherry, chai spice, chaparral and toasted oak. Bramble fruit on the palate with round, supple tannins, herbal forest character, and a long finish. Barrel aged 18 months in 100% American oak (58% new). Alcohol 14.0%."
