On the palate, velvety textures are contrasted by cooling acids, as polished black fruits wash across the senses, leaving a mix of saline-minerals and fine tannin, with an air of violet flowers resonating throughout. The finish is long, packed with masses of ripe blackberry, plum, and sweet herbal tones, but also structured, showing as the intense fruit of the Grande Cerzito slowly fades. The youthful balance - but also cellar potential here - is otherworldly, and although the use of oak is evident, it’s beautifully integrated. My suggestion is to enjoy at least one bottle before losing the rest in your cellar for five or more years. Drink: 2025-2040. (May 2020)"
