94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW: "A wealthy dense purple colour. The nose is extremely classy with a generosity of feeling ahead of the Amoureuses. Here there is a range of dark red fruit, some very dark strawberry, just short of a chocolate note but still with a good feeling of freshness and the tannins are ripe. Just the right balance of acidity, this has avoided both Scylla and Charybdis. (Dec 2019)"
