94 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "I find a slightly reductive and matchsticky nose here, but underneath I can see the wealth of dark fruits this wine possesses, with nuances of hedgerow and sandalwood. It feels beautifully fresh and composed on the palate though, quite bright and broad, medium-bodied but with a grippy and savoury character. There are some intense nuances here, a curranty fruit profile that feels charming and confident, and plenty of grip on the finish. A very good result indeed. (Dec 2018)"

93 points Jane Anson, MW (Decanter): "A standout during the en primeur tastings that lives up to its initial promise now it's in bottle. Strong, confident flavours show clear Médoc character, with dark berry fruits, silky tannins, great balance and freshness. Lots of life ahead of it. Drinking Window: 2022-2035. (Oct 2018)"

93 points Peter Moser (Falstaff): "Deep dark ruby, opaque core, discreet brightening on the rim. Fresh blackberry conserve, pleasant touch of cassis and delicate orange zest. Complex and substantial, fine dark berry conserve, delicate tannins, freshly structured with citrussy mineral finish also marked by mocha and juicy cherry. Already showing some maturity, but has certain ageing potential. (5/24/17)"

92 points James Suckling: "Blackberry, blueberry and orange-peel aromas follow through to a full body with a solid core of fruit and a fresh, tangy finish. The hazelnut and walnut undertones add to the complexity. Drink in 2021 and onwards. (2/3/19)"

91 points Wine Spectator: "A restrained style, but with a tasty core of juicy plum and red currant fruit that melds with light mulling spice, black tea and sanguine notes. There's a dusting of cedar on the finish. Drink now through 2028. (3/31/19)"
