94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "I tried to let my last bottles of the 2010 vintage of Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs from Laurence Ployez rest comfortably in my cellar, as I wanted to give them at least another five or six years aging before opening up another bottle. Alas, my curiosity got the best of me and this bottle was opened only a bit more than a year after the last one. The wine is so superbly elegant today that it is hard to resist opening bottles, despite the fact that it clearly has more layers of complexity to reveal if given a bit more cellaring. The bouquet is bright, precise and complex, wafting from the glass in a mix of golden delicious apples, pears, warm bread, lovely floral tones, a fine foundation of limestone, hazelnut and a very discreet framing of buttery oak. On the palate the wine is pure, refined, full-bodied and shows excellent depth at the core, with a fine base of mineral undertow, elegant mousse, lovely balance and a long, precise and very complex finish. As I noted before, Laurence Ployez gave this wine fully ten years aging sur lattes and finished it with a dosage of four grams per liter. The fruit all hailed from the grand cru villages of Cramant, Oger, Cuis and Mesnil-sur-Oger or from the Ployez family’s chardonnay parcels on the Montagne de Reims. I should have bought more bottles of this wine for my cellar! 2024-2055. (Mar/Apr 2024)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "Rich and toasty on the nose, with hints of grilled macadamia nut and brioche underscoring a vibrant mix of passion fruit coulis, blood orange peel, ripe apricot and chalk accents. Finely detailed and mouthwatering, with terrific balance and appeal, recommending it today or for cellaring in the short term. Drink now through 2028. (9/20/23)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2010 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs is a powerful, deep wine. Lemon confit, brioche, green apple and tropical accents all give the 2010 its up-front, effusive personality. All things considered, the Blanc de Blancs is a terrific effort in a very challenging year. I would prefer to drink it over the next five years or so. It would be a shame to miss it at this stage of openness. Disgorged: April, 2021. Drink: 2022-2027. (May 2022)"
