95 points Yohan Castaing (Decanter): "One of the iconic terroirs of the village of Bué, on Oxfordian limestone. Vines were planted in 1968. The wine is aged in barrels and demi-muids with final ageing in vats. The 2018 Chêne Marchand is a little more open than it was a year ago. The bouquet is deep and complex, with lemon, flint, mineral and limestone notes intertwined with aromas of spring flowers. It’s full-bodied and multi-dimensional, with concentration, power and energy. A long and penetrating finish, reminding us of the limestone soil of its vineyard origin. Drinking Window: 2025-2035. (Mar 2021)"
