Thierry Pillot's Chassagne-sourced Bourgogne Rouge is always one of the bargains in his outstanding range with juicy old-vine concentration, floral, pepper spice red cherry, bramble fruit and good depth of flavor. The fruit comes from Chassagne and Santenay. The vines here are an average age of 50+ years old. Vinification involves 30% whole cluster with only indigenous yeast. The wine is aged in older barrel. Unfined and unfiltered.
