90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pale lemon, a little fresh wax on the nose, a good weight of fruit but as always with Maltroie, you have to go in search a bit. Taken from barrel so the wood shows a little more but it is well integrated. (Oct 2021)"

90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from Maltroie proper). There is whiff of the exotic lurking in the background of the aromas of white and yellow peach, dried apricot and passion fruit. The medium-bodied and beautifully textured flavors are rich to the point of opulence though not so much that the borderline tannic and strikingly persistent finish is unduly top heavy. Maltroie tends to be precocious and consistent with that, this wine should mature relatively quickly. Drink: 2026+. (Jun 2022)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "From 70 year-old vines. Only two barrels – this still in barrel. A strong core of aroma – a little tighter around this core. More powerful, layered with minerality. Not a brute but muscled and for keeping. Great finishing – a big wave of flavour – great things await! Bravo. (12/25/21)"
