97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2017 Chardonnay Mon Plaisir is similar in style yet possibly slightly more crystalline and elegant. Beautiful minerality frames its notes of white flowers, honeyed pineapple, lemon, and orange blossom. Fresh, racy, and medium to full-bodied, with a tight, vibrant texture, it's another brilliant wine from this estate. Drink: 2019-2029. (6/14/19)"

97 points James Suckling: "Lots of pear and hot-stone aromas here. White peaches, too. Full-bodied, creamy and subtle with straw, cooked-apple and mineral undertones. Creamy and refined. Drink now or hold. (2/14/20)"

94-96 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "The barrel sample of 2017 Chardonnay Mon Plaisir leaps from the glass with energetic lime blossoms, Golden Delicious apples and grapefruit notes with suggestions of marzipan, baking bread, crushed rocks and butterscotch plus a waft of green mango. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with wonderful tension and lovely mineral layers giving way to a long, savory finish. 1,320 cases are expected to be made, to be released in July 2019. (Oct 2018)"

94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2017 Chardonnay Mon Plaisir shows a richer, more concentrated expression of Knights Valley. Deep, pliant and textured, with terrific resonance, the 2017 is super impressive in this tasting. Floral and citrus notes add brightness, but the Mon Plaisir is mostly a wine of creaminess and generosity. Drink: 2020-2029. (May 2019)"
