96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The plot on the Chassagne side has been grubbed up, (it will be back in 2020), but there remain two plots on the Puligny side, one of, which continues down into Bienvenues. Clear attractive yellow. The nose is discreet, but less blocky. Very powerful fruit on the palate and the alcohol to follow, but this will go all the way. A powerful sweetness of fruit, with just a little point of acidity, very long finish. Another really impressive 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet. (Oct 2020)"

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 3 different parcels totaling .61 ha, one of which is in Puligny and the other two are in Chassagne; the vines are a mix of ages between 15 and 30+ years). A beautifully layered nose combines notes of white and yellow fruit with those of spice and a plethora of floral elements. The medium-bodied flavors are not quite as dense but they possess a lovely sense of verve and richness, all wrapped in a more tightly wound, saline and bitter lemon inflected finish. Very promising. Drink: 2031+. (Jun 2021)"

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "More muscular than the Bienvenues, the 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru reveals notions of honey, orange oil, fresh pastry, ripe pears and white flowers. Full-bodied, rich and powerful, with lively acids and a ripe core of fruit, it's the archetypical Bâtard in a sunny, concentrated year. Drink: 2022-2042. (Jan 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "A large plot was replanted after the frost of 2016. Vines in both Puligny and Chassagne – our only one in Chassagne – but due to the replanting it’s currently just the Puligny that’s in this wine. Not as wide as the Bienvenues but with more core of aroma. A wine stat starts modestly but grows and grows on the palate – a richness of texture but not really for the wine as the balance is impeccable – a little fizz of middle energy. And then comes the grand cru finish – it’s really indistinguishable from still having the wine in your mouth – for a time. Energy but not too much, concentration but not too much. Complex – you will still have to wait a little – but a buy – I think yes. Minimum, excellent. (Oct 2020)"
