93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "Comprising of nine barrels, the 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Clos des Noyers Bret comes from Pernot’s own vineyard. I appreciate the mineralité on this Puligny, crushed limestone and petrichor flanked by Granny Smith apple aromas. The palate is very well balanced with a fine thread of acidity. Real tension and salinity here, a touch of bitter lemon judiciously used on the finish. Delicious. Drink: 2023-2036. (Dec 2021)"

92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pale lemon and lime. Slight cats pee to the nose, very different in style to Rue aux Vaches. Then a burst of exciting fruit on the palate, fresh yet ripe apricots, not so ripe as to induce peaches, and with a salivatory acidity. Another beautiful village cuvée. Tasted: October 2021. (Dec 2021)"

91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Another cuvée that's pressed in house is the 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Clos des Noyers Brets, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine evocative of peach, orange oil, green apple, white flowers and fresh bread. Layered and precise, it's fleshier and more enveloping than the Rue aux Vaches. Drink: 2021-2038. (Jan 2022)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(Here using a vertical press (instead of the more usual pneumatic press) the grapes were collected in small cases.) A more composed width of aroma – this is also very inviting. More tannic grain frames the pure and structural flavour. Properly juicy this one – the start of the last and the finish of this would be grandiose – as it is, this is still a very excellent, practically great, villages that will get better and better if you have a little patience. (12/23/21)"

This villages-level lieu-dit is located downslope from Puligny's grands crus, but well downslope...practically in the village itself, with Les Ensegnères just above and contiguous to it.
