95 points Aldo Fiordelli (Decanter): "Perillo presented the oldest wine of the 2020 Campania Stories event with this 2010 Taurasi. In Castelfranci, one of the highest villages of Irpinia, the Baiano vineyard is the source of this outstanding wine. A rethinking of Aglianico identity, it’s dense garnet in the glass, full of fresh wild-strawberry aromas with earthy tones of boiled beetroot, smoky woodland and tar. If the red-fruit character is fairly atypical for Aglianico, the fresh profile is supported by chewy, ripe tannins and firm acidity, with a toasty character from small oak barrels. The savoury finish is amazing. A more elegant style of Aglianico, thanks to the altitude, the vintage and modern winemaking. Drinking Window: 2021-2030. (Sep 2020)"
