91-92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2013 Serpentières from Domaine Pavelot had also just been filtered and was a bit more out of sorts than the Beaune “Bressandes” at the time of my visit. The nose enjoys some lovely components in its mélange of red and black cherries, a bit of fruitcake, venison, stony soil tones, woodsmoke and a topnote of fresh herbs. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite long, with a fine core of fruit, excellent soil signature, good acids and fine length and grip on the ripely tannic finish. Again, the focus is impossible to evaluate today, due to its recent prep for bottling, but everything else here is quite impressive. 2021-2050. (Nov/Dec 2014)"
