91 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 80+ year old vines planted on vitis riparia root stock). As is usually the case, this is less elegant and detailed but more densely fruited, slightly riper and more aromatically complex with ample amounts of Savigny earth to the dark berry aromas that precede the rich, full and serious flavors that possess excellent volume, depth and fine length. Lovely and impressive if not a wine of elegance or finesse. In my view, this is a qualitative equal with the Guettes but the respective personalities are really very different. Drink: 2013+.
