92-93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2010 Gravains from Domaine Pavelot is a very closed and reserved wine at the present time, but with good underlying purity and promise. The deep, complex and refined nose offers up scents of cassis, black cherries, dark berries, coffee bean, fresh herbs, gamebirds and a complex signature of soil. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and quite pure on the attack, with a rock solid core of fruit, ripe tannins, fine focus and grip and a very long, reserved and promising finish. This will be lovely in the fullness of time. 2020-2050+. (Nov/Dec 2011)"
92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .60 ha parcel where two-thirds of the vines are more than 70+ years of age). An elegant, fresh and pure nose of red cherry liqueur, earth, plum and wet stone hints is followed by attractively rich but very well-detailed medium weight flavors that display the same wonderful purity as the nose. I very much like the mouth feel as it's slightly softer and round than is typical with this wine, all wrapped in a firm, long and very serious finish. This should be excellent in time. Comments: Sweet spot Outstanding. Drink: 2018+. (Apr 2012)"
