'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(the cuvée name is a play on words as it literally translates to Angel's Wind or Breeze but when pronounced, it sounds like the French word for the harvest, vendange; there are several bottlings of this wine and this is from February 2021 and is marked as such on the back label). Ripe aromas of both white and yellow orchard fruit, in particular apricot and peach, offer moderate Chablis typicity that include nuances of brine and algae. There is excellent volume to the saline-inflected flavors that deliver fine length on the balanced finale. This is very good for its level and worth a look. Drink: 2024+. (Oct 2021)"
Thomas Pico's naturally-farmed and -produced wines are the essence of “Chablis”, but not only in their briny minerality. There is a sense of vitality to the wines, and a textured density that can only come from dedicated work in the vineyards and transparent winemaking.
