95 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Subtle and lemony, Cote de Jouan is more slender, backed by a haunting finish. A radiant wine, with dazzling purity. (2022)"

92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Bottled in June 2020, Pico's 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Jouan Mise Tardive mingles aromas of golden orchard fruit and dried white flowers with hints of beeswax and vanilla pod. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural, it's built around a racy spine of acidity and concludes with a long and electric finish. Drink: 2021-2038. (Aug 2021)"

92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Chablis Côte de Jouan 1er Cru comes from 30-year-old vines in close proximity to Thomas Pico’s winery. It offers focused scents of lemon thyme and hints of white peach, and light fern-like scents emerge with time. The palate is well balanced with almond and flecks of white chocolate. Then that salinity kicks in toward the finish and elevates this above the Vaillons. Excellent. Drink: 2022-2025. (Oct 2021)"

91 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Touches of menthol and poached pear are present on the ocean breeze, floral and shellfish scented nose. There is fine mid-palate density to the delicious, caressing and succulent medium-bodied flavors that possess both very good detail and energy, especially in the context of what is typical for the 2018 vintage, on the balanced finish. This too is worth considering. Drink: 2026+. (Oct 2021)"
