94 points Wine & Spirits: "Focused on pinot noir, this wine gains its fragrant rose scents and delicate strawberry essence from a portion of that pinot macerated with its grape skins. Accelerated, perhaps, by 25 vintages of reserve wines in the blend, this pale-pink rosé paints the mouth red with deep tones of fruit, then lasts on that more delicate red-berry and anise flavor, precise and grand. (Dec 2020)"

94 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2024).

93 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(2013 base vintage; disgorged October 2017; 80–85% pinot, 15–20% chardonnay from the northern Côte des Blancs; typically less than 5% pinot noir red wine; only the first press; 35% reserve solera back to 1985; 5g/L dosage). With a pretty pale-salmon hue, this is a rosé of real definition, alive with pomegranate, pink grapefruit and strawberry hull, fresh and fruity and yet exactingly focused, drawn out by excellent, vibrant acidity, fine chalk minerality and fine-ground tannin structure. It handles this tannin impeccably, without falling into astringency or bitterness, uniting comfortably with the salty umami character of the chalk on a long and bright finish. The creamy texture of three years lees age has unified everything harmoniously. (2020-2021)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The non-vintage Rosé bottling of Première Cuvée from Alice Paillard is also from the base year of 2016 and was disgorged in October of 2020. It is composed entirely of pinot noir and includes a significant percentage of reserve wines that hail from a solera that dates all the way back to 1985. It was finished with a dosage below six grams per liter. The wine is a beautiful, pale salmon color and delivers a very refined nose of white cherries, a touch of fresh apricot, warm bread, a complex base of chalky soil tones, white flowers, gentle spice tones and a hint of fresh almond in the upper register. On the palate the wine is vibrant, full-bodied and still youthful, with excellent focus and cut, refined mousse, laser-like focus and a long, complex and snappy finish. To my palate, this deserves a bit of time in the cellar to really start hitting on all cylinders, as there is more here that time will unlock in due course. A beautiful wine. 2024-2050. (Sep/Oct 2021)"

92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Disgorged in April 2021, the latest rendition of Paillard's NV Extra-Brut Rosé Première Cuvée offers up attractive aromas of crisp stone fruits, red berries and hints of warm biscuits. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and pillowy, it's an ample, elegant Champagne that's fine-boned and precise. I suspect it will show even better with another year or two on cork. Drink: 2021-2027. (Jan 2022)"

92 points Wine Spectator: "Fragrant notes of ripe yellow apple and oyster shell are an aromatic thread, layered with apricot, candied pink grapefruit zest and toast point flavors in this elegant rosé Champagne. A fine example of the aperitif style with its lacy texture and firm spine of racy acidity. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Disgorged October 2020. Drink now. (10/31/21)"

92 points Falstaff: "Brilliant light salmon pink colour. The nose has intense scents of candied orange, wild strawberry, biscuit and a touch of rose petal. On the palate it is juicy and saline, with a delicate mousse. Well-balanced acidity and delicate notes of grapefruit and cassis contribute to a sense of fullness. Long lasting. (11/19/21)"

92 points James Suckling: "Pale salmon-pink colored Champagne with aromas of raspberries, candied apples, grenadine, croissants and lemon curd. Medium-bodied and creamy with fine bubbles and crisp acidity. Succulent, fruity and flavorful finish. Drink now. (4/28/22)"
