98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2018 Syrah La Paciencia Vineyard is all Syrah from a single vineyard in the Rocks region of the Walla Walla Valley. Offering a Côte Rôtie-like perfume of black raspberries, blueberries, rose petals, smoked meat, and iron, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a smoky, meaty, layered mouthfeel, ripe yet present tannins, and a great finish. Its purity of fruit is off the charts, it's perfectly balanced, and while approachable today, it will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and keep for 15-20 years in cold cellars. It's an incredible, singular Syrah. Drink: 2023-2038. (5/6/21)"

97 points Wine Spectator: "Full-bodied and deeply structured yet light on its feet, with expressive black olive, blackberry, crushed rock and bacon fat accents that gather richness and polish toward fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2032. 350 cases made. (7/6/22)"

97 points International Wine Report: "The 2018 No Girls La Paciencia Syrah is an absolutely brilliant wine. This instantly begins to impress as striking aromas of fresh blackberries and wild red berries come together with lavender, black olives, graphite, pepper, smoked meat and savory herbs that all emerge from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully structured with a concentrated core of fresh dark berries laced with savory and spice flavors. It goes on to display remarkable overall balance with a lovely combination of acidity and wonderful minerality as shows excellent freshness and purity all the way through the gorgeous finish. Today this simply stunning, as it displays incredible energy and verve, however it should also continue to develop beautifully over the course of the next decade.. Drink: 2022-2040. (Feb 2022)"

96 points James Suckling: "A nose with black fruit, espresso and brown tobacco. Full-bodied with chewy tannins. Racy and smoky on the palate with a nice structure. Spicy character and a savory finish. A fab syrah. Drink or hold. (7/12/21)"

94 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Bright deep, dark red. Pure but subdued aromas of blackberry, black pepper and violet. Like liquid velvet on the utterly seamless palate but with terrific floral/spicy lift to the red and black fruit flavors. Wonderfully piquant acidity throughout. The urgent back end is sappy and very long, leaving the taste buds quivering. Tannins are substantial but fully buffered, not to mention in balance with the wine's acidity. In the same high class as the Grenache from La Paciencia Vineyard. Incidentally, the No Girls and La Rata wines are sealed with 30-year DIAM corks but the Horsepower wines are bottled with dense 54-millimeter natural corks. Drink: 2024-2033. (Dec 2020)"

93 points Anthony Mueller (Wine Advocate): "Displaying a soft nose, the 2018 Syrah la Paciencia Vineyard offers dusty, dark red-fruited aromas that waft with notions of dusty red flowers, cinnamon-spiced potpourri and dried lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is balanced with a delightful mineral tension and flavors of smoked strawberries with red and black peppercorn essence. Finishing with a persistent flavor of dusty plum skin, the wine is nimble and food-friendly. Only 4,200 bottles were made after resting 22 months in neutral oak barrels. Drink: 2021-2033. (Jul 2021)"
