96 points James Suckling: "Notes of blackberry, plum, licorice and spice on the nose. Medium-to full-bodied with chewy tannins. Smoky and layered on the palate with juicy character and a ink-like feel. Herbal, racy finish with beautiful length. Drink or hold. (7/12/21)"

95 points International Wine Report: "The 2018 No Girls Grenache from the La Paciencia is a gorgeous wine. It opens to inviting aromas of raspberries and red berries which are woven together with wet stones, smoke, wild herbs, licorice, iron, blood orange and lavender nuances. On the palate this medium-bodied red is round and silky with outstanding overall balance and finesse. It displays excellent focus and precision, with notable length on the silky, refined finish. This beautifully made Grenache is excellent to approach young, however it should continue to evolve beautifully over the course of the next decade. Drink: 2022-2035. (Feb 2022)"

94 points Jeb Dunnuck: "From the same site, the 2018 Grenache La Paciencia Vineyard reveals a translucent ruby hue as well as a sappy, fresh bouquet of wild strawberries, blackberries, sappy flowers, pepper, orange blossom, and rose petals. Made in a medium-bodied, ethereal, elegant style, it has terrific purity of fruit, ripe yet crunchy tannins, and a beautiful finish. Some smoky, meaty notes emerge with time in the glass, and it has enough tannins to warrant 2-4 years of bottle age and will impress for over a decade. Drink: 2023-2033. (5/6/21)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "Luscious and boldly expressive yet refined, with raspberry, bacon fat, garrigue and river stone accents that sail on the long finish toward polished tannins. Drink now through 2032. 335 cases made. (7/6/22)"

93+ points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Healthy bright, dark red. Enticing rose petal/peony lift to the aromas of raspberry and white pepper; less black and less wild than the 2017 bottling but still with complicating whiffs of game and olive. Very pure and light on its feet: a lovely, highly concentrated, floral Syrah with noteworthy finesse of texture and inner-mouth perfume. Still, despite the wine's velour-like mouth feel, its firm acids and tannins give the subtly long finish a touch of austerity; it will need time in bottle to harmonize. But with its scintillating sugar/acid balance and captivating floral high notes, this is lovely and seriously ageworthy American Grenache. Twenty-four hours in the recorked bottle brought an even suaver texture and more harmonious acidity. Drink: 2023-2031. (Dec 2020)"

93+ points Anthony Mueller (Wine Advocate): "Possessing a perfumed nose, the 2018 Grenache la Paciencia Vineyard offers up notions of stems, rose hip, baked earth, red pepper skin, juicy cherries and red spiced tea in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, the palate displays an elegant nature with succulent tannins that grip the gumline and will remain food-friendly for more than a decade. The wine concludes with a subtly spiced, red-fruited essence with a lingering mineral-laced focus. Just over 4,000 bottles were filled with this delicious Grenache that could easily sell at nearly double the price. No new oak was used in the creation of this wine. Drink: 2022-2033. (Jul 2021)"
