95 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "Saturated violet. Mineral-tinged dark fruit liqueur, incense and exotic spice aromas are complemented by suggestions of mocha, licorice and candied flowers. Broad and weighty on the palate, showing impressive depth to sweet, spice-inflected blackberry, cherry-vanilla, spicecake and violet pastille flavors. The mineral and floral qualities echo emphatically on an impressively persistent finish that leaves sappy black and blue fruit notes behind. Drink: 2023-2033. (Mar 2021)"
94 points Wine & Spirits: "Mas d’En Caçador is one of the highest vineyards in Priorat, seven acres of black soil, rich in slate, at an altitude of more than 2,100 feet in the mountains of Porrera. Ester Nin, partner in Nin-Ortiz, believes that some of these vines are more than 100 years old. The cool north-facing orientation of the slope gives a delicious freshness to the fruit, with initial floral and mineral scents that gain more prominence in the flavor. The slate shows strongly in the firm and elegant tannins, the wine medium in body, but with great depth. (Oct 2017)"
