Nerantzi Malagousia Serres 2015

Malagousia is an ancient Greek varietal that has seen a mini resurgence in recent years. Domaine Nerantzi lies in the appellation of Serres in northern Macedonia. They farm organically and make the utmost of their sandy clay soil. This Malagousia is dark yellow-gold and has a complex, perfumed nose of honeysuckle, ripe peach, candied peach and honey. Round, medium-full mouthfeel with rich, ripe fruit and balancing acidity. Long aftertaste. Be adventurous and try it with your next clambake or grilled swordfish steaks.
