90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of raspberries, spices, smoked duck and espresso roast, framed by a deft application of new wood, introduce the Mugnerets' 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village, a medium to full-bodied, lively and nicely concentrated wine with fine tannins, a ripe core of fruit and a nicely defined, energetic finish. Since La Colombière was bottled separately this year, the 2018 represents a blend of lieux-dits Les Chalendins, Le Pré de la Folie, Les Champs Gourdin and Les Croix Blanches. (Jan 2020)"

90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW: "From Champ Goudins, Pré de la Folie (young vines from 2011), some Colombière and little bits of Chalandins and Croix Blanches. 14% alcohol. Deep purple with plenty of oak. The fruit absolutely swells across the palate with a luscious finish of oak and fruit combined, this will give great pleasure. (Nov 2019)"

91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Vosne AC from Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg seems very much the same in personality and quality as it did last year, when it contained the la Colombière in the cuvée. The wine offers up a ripe and again, very pure bouquet of plums, black raspberries, chocolate, a lovely base of soil tones, vanillin oak and a very pungent topnote of violets (which makes the reference to violets in the Bourgogne seem far-fetched!). On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and velvety on the attack, with a sappy core of black fruit, ripe tannins and lovely focus and balance on the long, tangy and complex finish. A gorgeous villages. 2023-2055. (Nov/Dec 2019)"
