91 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2016 Moulin du Cadet has blossomed into a rich, juicy Saint-Émilion. Élevage has given the 2016 a bit more suppleness than it showed from barrel. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, spice and leather all meld together effortlessly. More importantly, the 2016 will drink well right out of the gate. I would prefer to drink it over the next handful of years. Drink: 2018-2026. (Jan 2019)"
90 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from pure limestone soils, the 2016 Château Moulin du Cadet is 100% Merlot aged 16 months in 50% new oak. It’s a forward, sexy wine that has plenty of earthy black cherry and currant fruits, medium body, a rounded texture, ripe tannins, and no hard edges. It has loads to love and I suspect will be best enjoyed over the coming decade or so. Drink: 2019-2029. (2/28/19)"
90 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2016 Moulin du Cadet is a little shy to begin, opening out to kirsch, black plums and blackberry scents with touches of garrigue, wild thyme and damp soil. Medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy, it gives mouth-filling earthy/savory flavors and an herbal lift on the finish. Drink: 2020-2030. (Nov 2018)"
