97 points James Halliday (Wine Companion): "The bouquet shows the first signs of development via nuances of spice and earth. The palate is still bracing and fresh, cassis and redcurrant on the same page. These different personas are simply an intermediate stage before the wine moves on to a lingering plateau that will be measured in decades not years. Tasted 06 Jul 2018. Alcohol 14%. Drink by 2045. (Aug 2019)"

94 points and 'Cellar Selection,' Wine Enthusiast: "[$107 list] This premium Cabernet (with a touch of Cab Franc and Merlot) is more primary and dark-fruited when compared to Moss Wood's Ribbon Vale Cab. It's also more complex: a melody of black and purple fruit, spices, florals, tomato leaf and umami. While it's set up for a long life, it's also more approachable in its youth than Ribbon Vale. Tannins are tight-reined but sit supportively behind the silky fruit rather than charging to the front. A picture of grace amidst power. Drink now through 2034. Alcohol 14%. (Jan 2020)"
