92 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Ready for December bottling. Lovely lemon and lime colour, a fresh nose with great energy but also a ripeness of fruit. Great linear intensity, really impressive for Chassagne and then the fleshy oak infused texture. Ripe but perfectly balanced. Tasted: November 2018. (Nov 2018)"

91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Village is also showing brilliantly, opening in the glass with notes of citrus oil, fresh pear, white flowers and hazelnut. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with racy acids, chalky structuring extract and a long, mineral finish. This is Moreau's largest cuvée by some margin, and it's a terrific introduction to the domaine style. What's more, I am still drinking the 2008 and 2010 vintages from my own cellar, so I can attest to how gracefully it ages. Drink: 2023-2047. (Jan 2020)"

91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The domaine’s excellent Chassagne villages cuvée was in the same stage of development as the Saint Aubin, having been assembled and already fined prior to my visit. The 2017 vintage is very strong for this excellent village wine, with the nose delivering an elegant and very floral constellation of apple, pear, a pungent note of lemon blossoms, a fine base of chalky soil tones, citrus zest and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, long and seamlessly balanced, with bright acids, excellent focus and grip, lovely nascent complexity and a long, vibrant and classy finish. Fine juice. 2018-2040. (Nov/Dec 2018)"

'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 3 separate lieux-dits). A pungent and less elegant array offers up notes of resin, rosemary oil and freshly sliced apple. Once again there is an attractive vibrancy to the nicely delineated and solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a citrusy, saline and saliva-inducing finish. Good stuff for its level and note that there is sufficient structure such that this should age well over the next 5 to 8 years. Drink: 2023+. (Jun 2019)"
