96+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "2013 has produced a great, great Cros Parantoux chez Méo. The stunningly refined nose delivers an aromatic constellation of raspberries, cherries, red plums, cocoa, duck, Vons spices, magically complex minerality, woodsmoke and spicy oak. On the palate the wine is fullish, pure and very intensely flavored, with a great core of sappy red fruit, brilliant transparency, fine-grained tannins and a very, very long, tangy and nascently complex finish. Brilliant wine. 2025-2075. (Nov/Dec 2014)"

94-96 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2013 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Cros Parantoux has a really quite alluring, complex bouquet with broody dark cherry, blackberry leaf and cold wet stone aromas that are both detailed and intense. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, razor-sharp tannins that form a lattice around a core of red fruit. There is a pastille-like purity and an electrifying finish, whose "current" feels long in the mouth. This is very classy: a great Cros Parantoux, terroir shrugging off what the season threw in its way. Drink: 2017-2040. (Dec 2014)"

93-96 points/'Don't miss!/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(40+ year old vines). A beautifully elegant and markedly floral and spicy nose of mostly dark berry fruit is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is very fine delineation to the intensely mineral-driven and tautly muscular middle weight flavors that also possess knock-out mid-palate concentration before culminating in an explosively long finish. In the same fashion as the Brûlées this is very firmly structured and will likewise require plenty of bottle age to reveal its immense potential. This too is a 'wow' wine. Drink: 2028+. (Jan 2015)"

93-95 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Good deep red. Sexy if restrained aromas of medicinal black cherry, raspberry, minerals and coffee. Sappy and tactile but youthfully closed, with strong minerality giving the powerful black cherry and spice flavors terrific clarity and tension. Strong medicinal reserve here. Offers a scintillating balance between fruit, acidity and salinity and finishes with outstanding length. Grand cru quality. Drink: 2025-2042. (Jan 2015)"
