94 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "[$56 list] In the light cream-colored label, the 2019 Barolo is elegant and contained, showing a very focused and linear style that makes a great impression and awakens the senses. There is wild cherry, blue flower and crushes stone backed by balanced freshness and tannins. The wine ages in large Slavonian oak casks for 30 months. Drink: 2025-2040. (8/24/23)"

93 points Kerin O'Keefe: "Blue flower and eucalyptus aromas shape the nose along with whiffs of new leather and dark spice. It’s elegantly structured, with taut, fine-grained tannins that accompany juicy Marasca cherry, strawberry compote and star anise. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced and bright. Drink: 2026–2034. (Apr 2023)"

93 points James Suckling: "Lots of lavender, raspberry and orange blossom aromas follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and a polished finish. Shows lovely drive and balance. Clear and fine. Drink after 2025. (7/28/23)"

92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2019 Barolo is a very serious wine. Readers looking for an easygoing, entry-level Barolo will not find that here. Bright and sizzling with tannin, the 2019 is going to need at least a few years to fully come together. Crushed rocks, red/purplish fruit and dried flowers emerge with some coaxing, but this is really a wine for the cellar. It is also probably the most reticent straight Barolo I tasted for this report. Drink: 2026-2037. (Jan 2023)"

90 points Aldo Fiordelli (Decanter): "Massolino classically ages all their Barolos in large Slavonian oak vessels. Fully focused on rose and violet, with fresh watermelon and a citrussy note enhanced by cinnamon and rhubarb, this Barolo is deliciously complex and classic for Serralunga, with crisp acidity and firm tannins wrapped up in flowery notes, leading to a dusty finish. Drinking Window: 2023-2045. (Jan 2023)"

17++/20 points Walter Speller (JancisRobinson.com): "Palish ruby. A subtle, lifted, cherry and cranberry nose dabbed with spicy oak notes and a hint of orange skin. Sappy, lively cherry fruit on the palate with a long, tannic grip on the finish. Fresh, long and elegant. Can be approached now. Drinking Window: 2023-2034. (11/29/22)"
