94 points Anne Krebiehl (Falstaff): "A subtle nose hints at iris blossom and dark, brooding but fresh fruit. Beautifully herbal aromatics hover in the background. The palate then combines the sumptuous ripeness in its generous, almost lush texture with exquisite, pervasive freshness. This unfurls like glossy velvet and lingers long with its fresh, tart but ripe heart of cherry. (1/25/22)"

91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "40 to 100 years plus, the oldest being a plot of Epointures planted in 1915, and mostly well placed above the road. The nose offers a depth and weight of dark fruit without too much detail. There is more in the way of plump ripe raspberry fruit on the palate, more juice and less structure at the back. Really continues through extremely well. (Nov 2021)"

89-92 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 40 to 100-year-old vines located in 8 different lieux-dits though one-third of the blend is from Les Journaux in Brochon). A deft application of wood can be found on the ripe aromas of poached plum, cassis, humus and newly turned earth. There is excellent density to the mouth coating medium weight plus flavors that evidence fine power on the long, serious and youthfully austere but not rustic finale. An impressive villages. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2022)"

90+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Richer and deeper pitched, the 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes mingles aromas of wild berries and plums with hints of baking chocolate, sweet spices and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and textural, it's layered and fleshy, with an ample core of fruit, powdery tannins and lively balancing acids. Drink: 2023-2043. (Jan 2022)"
