94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Now we come to the flagship wine. A beautiful glowing purple. This wine suggests a huge amount to follow, just waiting on the detail. The palate is magical however, not so much in the fruit descriptors but in the sense of class, the suavity, the balance and the persistence. No sign of heat, tannins perfectly integrated. Real muscle here for the longer haul. Beautiful. 13.6% alcohol. (Nov 2021)"

95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is brilliant, bursting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, plums, exotic spices and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, seamless and multidimensional, it's velvety and layered, with lively acids, beautifully ripe tannins and a long, resonant finish. This is a benchmark Cazetiers from the only proprietor to own holdings that stretch from the top to the bottom of the slope. Drink: 2027-2050. (Jan 2022)"

92-95 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a large 1.47 ha holding with vines that run from the bottom to the top of the vineyard). Here too there is an admirably subtle touch of wood adding breadth to the ripe and very fresh aromas of crushed fennel, violet, poached plum and plenty of sauvage nuances. There is fine delineation to the mineral-driven and tautly muscular flavors that also possess excellent depth and persistence on the balanced, youthfully austere and markedly firm finale. This impressive effort is expressly built for the long haul and will need extended patience. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2022)"
