90-93 points Fine Wine Review: "The Morey-Riotte has strawberry and raspberry fruit with good acidity and length. It’s an easily-approachable wine and less heavy than the Baudes. No whole clusters here, 25% new oak. (Jan 2018)"
92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2016 la Riotte was completely destemmed and was showing very nicely at the time of my visit, offering up a classy and beautifully red fruity bouquet of cherries, red plums, woodsmoke, dark soil tones, espresso, mustard seed and a touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and impressively transparent, with a fine core of fruit, ripe, seamless tannins and a long, poised and nascently complex finish. Lovely juice. 2024-2070. (Nov/Dec 2017)"
