It has a sensual bouquet that is as much Charmes as Mazoyères, well defined and very elegant, not a million miles away from Denis Bachelet in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine thread of acidity, very pure in style with a saline finish that gets the taste buds going. This is a wonderful Charmes Chambertin that should give 20 years of drinking pleasure. Drink: 2021-2045. (Dec 2017)"

The bouquet is flat out stunning, soaring from the glass in a complex blend of plus, red and black cherries, grilled meats, a complex base of soil, mustard seed, cedar and a pungent topnote of roses. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bdoied, complex and very suave on the attack, with lovely soil signature, a sappy core and a very, very long, seamlessly-tannic finish. Great juice. 2028-2080.
