95 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Possessing a terrific bouquet of saddle leather, wild herbs, cassis and coffee beans, the 2012 Lascombes is rich, full-bodied, concentrated and nicely structured on the palate. With serious fruit intensity, ripe tannin and a great finish, this stacked Margaux will drink nicely for 10-15 years. Drink: 2018-2032. (1/10/18)"

94 points Robert Parker: "An intriguing blend of 48% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, this inky purple-colored wine is ripe, progressively styled, big, rich, thick and juicy. In other words, the 2012 Lascombes is loaded. No doubt the high percentage of Merlot in the final blend gives this wine a fleshiness and succulence that is unusual in the Médoc. Rich, pure and full, it should hit its prime in another 4-5 years and last at least two or three decades. Drink: 2019-2049. (Apr 2015)"

94 points Jane Anson (Decanter): "Lovely burnished, dark, brambly fruit notes are joined by some oak finessing in a well balanced, integrated style. It's good quality, more fruit-forward at this stage than in many vintages, with a sweep of gourmet fruit, liquorice and grilled almonds. Enjoyable and true to itself, reflecting the Lascombes signature. Drinking Window: 2021-2040. (Nov 2018)"

93 points/'Cellar Selection,' Wine Enthusiast: "This vintage of Lascombes shows more restraint on oak than previous vintages. The result is a ripe wine, still showing some wood flavors although it is already beginning to balance these with the black fruits. It has an opulent style that is warm and generous. Drink from 2019. (Sep 2015)"
