89-91 points and 'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .95 ha parcel planted in 1960). An expressive and slightly more elegant nose offering up notes of red currant, wild flowers and spiced tea, leads to detailed, stony and energetic middle weight flavors that possess a relatively refined mouth feel before terminating in a moderately austere but well-balanced finish. This beautifully delineated effort will need at least 3 to 5 years of bottle age first. Drink: 2021+. (Apr 2016)"

90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2014 Derrière Chez Edouard red from Monsieur Lamy is outstanding, with the purity of the vintage and the stylish signature of this fine terroir marrying superbly well this year. The bouquet delivers a fine constellation of sappy black cherries, sweet dark berries, raw cocoa, chalky soil tones, woodsmoke, gamebirds and a touch of fresh thyme in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nicely reserved in personality, with a sappy core of black fruit, fine soil signature, moderate tannins and a long, suave and classy finish. This will be excellent with five or six years in the cellar. 2021-2050. (Nov/Dec 2015)"
