99 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "Keller's 2019 Morstein Riesling GG Alte Reben is one of the finest dry Rieslings of the vintage. From 75-year-old vines and aged in a 1,000-liter oak vat, this iconic Morstein opens with a very clear, lemony and chalky bouquet along with floral notes and perfectly ripe and concentrated yet still coolish fruit aromas. Full of finesse, mineral vitality and tension, this is a very intense and complex Riesling that develops spectacular length, which is carried onward by a fascinating, razor-sharp and steely, iron-coin, crystalline acidity. After a while in the glass, the wine sheds notes of orange blossoms and Muscat, along with honey flavors and Mediterranean herbal aromas. The yeasty layers are so delicate, like if this were Champagne. The finish is endless. What a noble dry Riesling! Drink: 2026-2050. (Apr 2021)"

99 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Morstein bottling from Klaus-Peter Keller has been one of the wine world’s greatest dry white wines for many years now, but the decision a couple of vintages back to limit this cuvée to only the oldest Riesling vines in the parcel has taken it to even another level of quality. The 2019 is pure magic, delivering a youthfully complex and multi-faceted nose of grapefruit, tart orange, citrus blossoms, a hauntingly beautiful and kaleidoscopic base of limestone minerality, wild yeasts, lemongrass and dried flowers. Though this wine is loaded with fruit and floral tones, it is the ever-changing base of minerality that defines its aromatic personality. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and racy, with a great core, stunning mineral undertow, ripe, brisk acids and laser-like focus on the long, nascently complex and very, very promising finish. I know that on some absolute level, the G-Max is probably somehow even better than the 2019 Morstein, but I do not like it any better than this stunning wine! 2034-2100. (Jan/Feb 2021)"

98 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Weighty with ripe-apricot and chalky character and great tannins, but also with darkness and mystery. This rich, highly structured dry riesling embraces you and doesn't want to let go. A major statement, but still moderate in alcohol and very clean at the super long finish. Drink or hold. (8/16/20)"

97+ points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 26 20. The 2019er Morstein Riesling, as it is referred to on the consumer label, is a bone-dry wine which proves backward yet, at the same time, stunningly pure and remarkably profound as fine scents of minty smoke, pineapple, grapefruit, dried flowers, ginger, plum, violet, and cassis emerge from the glass. As so often with the Morstein bottlings of this Estate, this wine combines huge power (from low yields and not alcoholic strength) with zesty intensity and precision on the compact focused palate. It then leaves a stunningly feel of spices in the bone-dry and seemingly endless finish. The whole wine still feels restrained but the underlying elegance, precision, and complexity are truly remarkable. This fabulous dry Riesling is without doubt one of the finest Morstein ever produced by the Estate. 2034-2054. (Oct 2020)"
