Jouan/Henri & Philippe Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Echézeaux VV 2020

This tiny estate is situated in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis and is run by Phillipe Jouan, the fifth generation of his family to make Pinot Noir here. With only 3 hectares of vines being farmed, Henri and Philippe Jouan fly under the radar with such small quantities being produced. These wines are expressive of their origin, giving of fruit and, texturally lush and elegant, but balanced with tension, and with a subtle earthiness and minerality. The Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Echézeaux borders the Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin.
