92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Opening in the glass with scents of cherries, cassis and blackberries complemented by hints of forest floor and raw cocoa, the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint-Jacques (Domaine Louis Jadot) is medium-bodied, bright and fine-boned, underpinned by lively acids and displaying a delicate, elegant profile. This is shaping up very nicely. (Jan 2021)"
93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "A domaine-owned parcel, these vines are at the top of the slope next to the Clos-St-Jacques, in the Combe de Lavaux. This cool terroir produces a very elegant result and is particularly successful in a hot year like 2019, with a bright pomegranate character and a mineral, almost salty edge. Fresh, firm and very elegant on the palate. Drinking Window: 2021-2025. (Oct 2020)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Domaine Louis Jadot. More freshness and width of aroma – jellied dark-red berries. I like the fresh entry then, particularly, the structural shape of this wine- zero aggressivity, layered flavour, and long finish. As always a forgotten wine but as always (usually) a completely delicious wine! (Nov 2020)"
